…I wonder if anyone fell for it…
Day 3: Eight things that annoy you.
1. ‘Cooler than thou’ jerks. I’m rad, you’re probably rad, too. The second you try to rank yourself above anyone else as ‘more rad’, then you’re a dick and I want as little to do with you as possible.
2. Applying for houses, but not as much as applying for jobs. At least real estate agents get back to you.
3. Being forced to waste time somewhere other...
Day 2: Nine things you do every day.
1) Sleep… well, most days.
2) Eat… well, most days, sometimes I forget.
3) Shower… well, most days, but always before going out.
4) Exercise… well, most days, forming a new habit takes time.
5) Check Tumblr, Twitter and Facebook… well, most days.
6) Listen to music and a lot of it.
7) Clock some time in playing at least two games and reading at least one chapter...

This can be applied to everyone; keep learning and come to understand the world around you.

Text message are also out. At least, it is in Cairo.
Shutting off the Internet is not a move made by a government that’s comfortable with its grip on power.
You may want to pay attention to this. This is the sort of thing that could go 1989 Berlin Wall or 1989 Tienanmen Square very quickly. Unfortunately, it’s anybody’s guess which it will be.
Hey, everyone: Pray...
Day 1: Ten random facts about yourself.
Jeez, I’ve got to stop doing these ones, I’m running out of things to say about myself… and it’s getting harder to pass myself off as keeping my ego in check…
1) Tubby though I may be, my calves are actually in good shape; I may not be a sprinter, but there’s little superfluous fat on them… Now to get the rest of me to that point…
2) I honestly...

Things aren’t quite so bad in Australia, but I think quite a lot of that still applies. I’ll also point out that demonizing teachers and their unions, particularly in public forums,...
Day 7 - Lust. Seven love secrets.
Love secrets. I’m not even sure what that’s supposed to mean, so I’m just going to say whatever comes to mind… or something, I don’t know.
1. I am well aware of the danger of constructing a fantasy personality for someone, then meeting them and having it turn out totally wrong, so I tend to avoid doing that. If anything, it means that I’m more likely to dream...

I am well aware of the kind of debate/bashing/senseless defending/impotent whining that will continue to go on and on and on and on about the casting of these two, right up until the film’s actually released.
SO
Wth that in mind, I am going to give my quick impressions on the news and leave it alone until we actually see some footage, because noone can actually give a balanced opinion on...
Skynet Meets the Swarm: The Berkeley Overmind. →
This article is pretty amazing for two reasons;
1) It’s the story of the development of a rationally thinking battlefield AI… or at least one in it’s earliest stages. This seriously sounds like the beginning of Skynet.
2) It’s a huge article, written in a way that is understandable by the layman.
Well worth a read.
Day 6 - Gluttony. Seven guilty pleasures.
I’m not sure if this means seven things I do feel guilty about, or seven things I should feel guilty about…
1. Bad 80’s to present Sci-fi films. I love the bad ones, like Battlefield Earth and The Last Starfighter. I love good ones, too, but the bad ones just strike a chord with me.
2. Bad food. McDonalds and Coke are the main culprits, but I have an insane love for food...
Day 5 - Greed. Seven worldly material desires.
1. A whole bunch of kickass Cosplays: Batsuit, Green Lantern, Bra’Tac Prime Armour (Stargate SG-1), The Insider suit (Bruce Wayne: The Road Home), Colonial Marine Armour (Aliens)… The list goes on…
2. A nice luxury car. Not a flashy sports car, something solid and classy: BMW M3 type of thing…
3. A good number of tailored suits, for multiple occasions.
4. I have ideas...
Day 4 - Sloth. Seven things you neglect to do.
1. I neglect to stay fit, although I have been working on that with the spectre of Army recruitment hanging over my head.
2. I’ve been meaning to work on my cooking skills but, until recently, hadn’t been assed. I’ve made some moves in that direction, but not many.
3. Record music. I even have a few songs ready to go, but the effort needed to assemble the equipment stands in...
One day...
I’m going to commission a replica of the Arkham Asylum armoured Bastuit, moulded to my body.
Then, I’ll make room between two bookcases to display it like this:
And I will spend a lot of time staring at it… like this:
Day 3 - Wrath. Seven things that piss you off.
I don’t really get pissed off at much, as such. A lot of little annoyances, sure, but very few things inspire rage at all. However…
1. Purposeful ignorance: Knowledge is interesting, knowledge is power. I don’t expect everyone to be scouring Wikipedia and absorbing academic journals or anything, but people who go out of their way not to learn piss me off.
2. Political...

Day 2 - Envy. Seven things you lack and covet.
Right, I got most of the way through this ealier today, then my browser crashed… :-/ try again, shall we?
1. Money is the obvious answer and cancels out a lot of the other things I wish I had. If I had money (and I don’t want lots, just enough) I could get all the other things… all the other things…
2. I am envious of people who find their life’s direction early,...
